AUGUST BREAK IS HERE.

Though it is called a Summer in America, we call it the long holiday, characterized with the popular August meeting by the easterners. To me it is just a lot of activities for the adults to us its fun all the way.
What do I like about the August break, well the fact that this holiday depicts total freedom, for many reasons.

•  It is the only holiday that our parents do not share with us.
• Summer coaching is just 3 hours and more lenient than that of normal school.
• Well waking at your convenience since summer coaching starts latest 9am
• Freedom of entertaining and fun filled activities.
• Most of all, spending the holidays with relatives or family friends.

The spending of holidays with relatives or family friends is my favorite because I am the guest of the month, there are less chores, more outings, in fact am treated like royalty.
It started earlier this year, from the 3rd week of July and I have experienced a tip of the iceberg of  fun am planning to have this summer.
What do you like about the August break?

THE AFRICAN TEEN DILEMMA

A typical African teen is always used to his or her parents controlling his or her life, the parents never give reasons as to why the teens shouldn't do a particular thing, they always confuse us when correcting,
picture this ;

mother: why did you steal, are you crazy?

child:I  didn't

mother-(cuts him short) who asked you to talk,? don't talk again until i ask..

(next day)

mother-who removed this thing from here, eh?

child-(he keeps quiet, remembering the last day's correction)

mother-won't you talk? (she slaps him.)

This is what African teens go through, its so uncool and annoying, it puts the child in a state of
serious confusion and think of how hurt the child will be after he or she receives beating for being obedient.
please parents try to avoid doing this to us.
